About the Job
SIEMPRE, a multicultural creative marketing agency, is seeking a contract Graphic Designer & Illustrator to join our team.
As a Graphic Designer & Illustrator, you will work closely with our Creative Director and design team to develop inspiring artwork that will attract our target audience. You will be responsible for formulating concepts and rendering draft illustrations from written words, models, sketched ideas, and your imagination.
This position is mostly remote and candidates from any location are welcome to apply, but applicants located in the Los Angeles or San Francisco metropolitan area are preferred.
What You'll Do
As a Graphic Designer & Illustrator, you'll be responsible for:
- Create and design various materials for digital and print including original digital illustrations and designs
- Ensure projects are completed in a timely manner with a quality product
- Collaborate with fellow designers to develop new approaches for creating more-expressive graphics for clients
- Work with a wide range of media and graphic design software
- Implement feedback and changes whenever possible
- Create visualizations that convey accurate messaging for the project.
What You Need
The ideal candidate for this position has:
- A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
- Minimum of two years experience in graphic design/illustration
- Proficiency in programs such as Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator (Figma proficiency is not required but is a plus!)
- Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, and web
- Keen sense of attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- You'll need a laptop and smartphone.
